The time that would have to laps to raise and train a dog for weight pull is WELL over two years of age.
Our record for producing weight pull titled dogs speaks for it self.

Photo ID is required for all sales. It is used for the identification and age of signed buyer.
Signature on ID must match Contract Signature.

A $500.00 Non-refundable deposit is required toward the purchase of a Victorino dog/puppy.
Buyer acknowledges that the deposit $500.00 is non-refundable. Victorino Kennel will retain the deposit as damages if buyer cannot complete the transaction.
Deposit will be used as a donation to the Seattle Children's Hospital, or to our kennel management.


TOILET TRAINING
Dog owners should not allow their pets to foul indiscriminately in public areas
(see 'Dogs and the Law'). Toilet training at puppy stage is therefore vital. If, however, your dog should foil in a public place, be prepared to use a "poop-scoop/poop bag" to clean up the mess. All Victorino puppies are first trained to shavings and then to pellets for going potty on. This helps with potty training for new owners. It's basically litter box training for puppies.

  • How to start: A puppy goes to the toilet very frequently so begin by putting him outside in a suitable spot as soon as he seems to want to go. Keep repeating this and praise him when he finishes his business in the right place.
  • Regular times: Build up regular times to take him out - few times in the morning, always after a meal, a few times during the evening, and at night just before bed.
  • Going on command : Once your puppy can use the yard, you need to train him to go on command there so he won't foul in undesirable places.
  • Use a commend word such as " hurry up " or " busy " just as he is about to go to the toilet. Always use the same tone of voice and praise him when he has finished.
  • Ideally your dog should be trained to "go at home", but when out in public places, remember to take a "poop-scoop or baggies" and clean up after your dog. Many local authorities make these available and provide disposal bins in special dog walking areas.
  • Your council is responsible for keeping public places clean, which means that any mess not cleared by dog owners becomes a cost to the community.

12 BASIC TIPS FOR RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERSHIP

  • Train your dog in elementary obedience
  • Feed your dog at regular times and with a nutritionally balanced diet.
  • Feed your dog from his own dish use stainless glass or ceramic dish.
  • Keep your dog on a lead anywhere near a road, or where there are other animals.
  • Train your dog not to foul in public places - if it does, "Scoop the poop"!
  • Remember your dog's bark can be a nuisance.
  • Provide your dog with his own bed. Not yours
  • Never take your dog into a food shop, unless it is a trained service dog.
  • Keep your dog clean and regularly groomed, don't leave it up to the groomer.
  • If you do not want your dog to have puppies, obtain advice from your vet.
  • Make sure someone is caring for your dog when you go on holiday and that he knows how to get a hold of you and your vet.
  • Register your pet with a vet of your choice.

CORRECTIONS AND REWARDS
Dogs learn by linking actions and results so if you praise your dog immediately after he does something well, he'll learn to repeat it to get the same result
Dogs learn by repetition so the more you work with them the faster they learn. Rewards like food treats are nice for tricks but not always available in a time of an emergence. Making sure the pup /dog minds well with out a treat is important. Commands are not tricks, tricks are for treats (sit pretty roll over) and commands (stay, sit, lay) are to be fallowed when asked. A well trained dog will take 10-15 minuets a day.
If you don't have that much time, you don't need a dog at all.
Never allow your puppy/dog to tug or bite on something with your scent or a member of your family scent. Purchase their tug toys and regular toys to play with. This will teach them what is theirs to bite and play with.
