2010 photos sent to us by Jane and Jim of Victorino's Loea
Our line of dogs are late bloomers, so if you thought he was good before just wait.
Keep up the good work

Yep... That's a Victorino APBT ..... Just look at those back legs to.
Of course Loea has the Victorino's trade mark, the Judge doesn't have to grab them to find them
Victorino's bred APBT's have all the BALLS !

Loea was given his hawaiian name by us The Victorino's.
The English translation
Skill, ingenuity, cleverness; expert, clever, skillful; skilled ....

Loea is out of one of our contract breeding's that was made when we sold Belle, Loea's dam.
We received three pups per the contract and Loea was our pick male from that litter.

Johnathen and I had met some wonderful people while we were in Michigan for the primer.
We are very thankful that we were able to just go show off our wonderful APBT's and see others perform.
Some of the people we met while in Michigan stuck in our thoughts weeks after meeting them.
For me I think it was the family values that I witnessed and the down home hospitality.
We love the photos of Loea you all sent our way. Thank you for sharing.
Jimmy you said in the beginning Loea was a little hard headed,
I looked for a hard shell that was cracked already for his page LOL :o}...
Now that you can see the fruit of your labor hope he makes you both proud.
HEART AND DRIVE
Mahalo

ADBA show in Hickory NC and Loea weighed 48 lbs and took second on Saturday, he pulled 10,275 lbs in 19.16 seconds, 214.06%, we went to pull the 11275 and he could have done it, but Loea hasn't pulled over a 19 second pull at all, 19.98 seconds once, but never broke the 19, but on Sunday, the track started out heavier and Barry was doing bigger drops, but he pulled 9875 lbs in 24.25 seconds, 205.92%, I was so proud of him!  He worked so hard, he fouled once and I took him right back and he did it!!  He got 1st! and over 19 seconds! and he never offered to turn around or step off, he just pulled.  I am so happy, Barry was laughing at me cause I was crying...lol  and it wasn't because he won his class, but he went over 19 seconds and worked so hard!!  I seriously wouldn't have cared where he placed, but he was the only dog under 55 lbs to pull that weight.  He now has 42 points towards his ACE title, we should get it next year, and the ADBA Nationals are being held in New Jersey, we are going to work hard to place at Nationals next year.  He can do it, we just have to work on his confidence, he has plenty of strength and drive, give him the confidence and he will be hard to beat.  That 19 second mark was so frustrating, I was just determined if that is as far as he would go, then his 19 seconds would have to equal another dog's 30 seconds (and actually it did..lol)
ADBA Salem County Fairgrounds - Woodstown, NJ.

Victorino's Iron Hill Loea
Saturday 9-23-06  4527 lbs, 88.76%, 16.37 seconds, 1st place Sunday 9-24-06   5041 lbs, 98.84%, 16.44 seconds, 2nd place

Everyone enjoys showing off their dogs. But their is a lot of work behind the scene. Washing and getting the dog ready the day before. The rush of packing and making sure everything is ready. The drive and the entry paperwork. Nails, feed, bowls, harness, a list runs though your mind. Time for yourself is not even a thought....
Lack of sleep before the show .... The drive... Bad rainy weather.. no time for make up..
Jane I have been there too !!
First Michigan premier, It was rainy and the tent flooded and all blankets and cloths were wet the first night!
Us Washingtonians' can tell you were the 24 hour laundry mat is in Michigan.
But the Weight pull went on with out a hitch!

The things we do for the dogs!

Jimmy & Jane Thanks for all the updates on Loea.
Jimmy, told us he took Loea's pedigree to show someone high up in the APBT world.
I Had to laugh when James said he had to let us know what we have in our lines
Ya we like to let some think our dogs are all scatter bred and just pretty to look at
We Do it right & get-er done

" Loea weight pulling "

This is his second work out today.
Over 1200 this morning and now the second work out he is doing reps with1400 in this photo.
He was pulling the cart in just under 12 seconds the track is at a small incline
He is a strong boy and loves to pull.  From his kennel he can see the weight pull cart.
Loea watches and paces and gets all excited waiting for his turn.
We are very proud of Loea, he is still just a pup, he has not even began to take off.
All the Victorino dogs get better after two and three years of age.

Rebel Koa Jake Iz Tequila Malia just to name a few, all started weight pulling after two years of age.

Don Hullander helps a lot with the dogs around the Hullander home.
So with out a doubt we are sure he has learn allot about the APBT's
Don also weight pulls in the United Kennel Club Junior handling classes.
We were very impressed with Don at the UKC Premier.
Our Children are the future for the breed, we Americans chose to own.
It is important for us to teach what we can about the breed to our children.
They need to clearly understand the American Pit Bull and other bully breeds are just as much a part of this free country as any other breed of canine.
We should always protect our rights to own what ever breed of dog we love.
Responsible dog ownership starts when you are young and is something you learn from your elders.
